General Info
The Center for LNG —The Center for LNG (CLNG) is a trade association of LNG producers, shippers, terminal operators and developers, energy trade associations and natural gas consumers. Learn more about LNG safety procedures and policies by visiting their site.
Terminal Safety
Safety is a top priority at Sempra LNG. Both of our liquefied natural gas terminals meet and, in some cases, exceed all industry safety requirements.
Safe and Reliable

LNG is a safe and reliable way to transport energy. Its transportation via ship has a long record of safe operation. In LNG's more than 50-year shipping history, LNG ships have traveled more than 150 million miles without a major incident. There have been no collisions, fires, explosions or hull failures resulting in a loss of containment for LNG ships in ports or at sea.

Success Stories
3 Million Safe Hours
During construction, Cameron LNG workers reached the enviable goal of 3 million construction hours worked without a lost-time accident – a milestone few projects ever reach.
"SAFE COMPANY" Certification
In March 2011, Energía Costa Azul received the "safe company" certification by Mexico’s State Labor Department in Baja California. In order to receive this distinction, a company must increase safety awareness in the workplace by complying with all Mexican Official Norms related to health and safety, and receive a high overall compliance grade.
