



Sempra LNG is a key importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG). We developed the first LNG receipt terminal on the west coast of North American and a second terminal on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana.
Sempra LNG’s Energía Costa Azul is the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminal on North America’s west coast. It is located about 15 miles north of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. The $975 million terminal has the capacity to process up to 1 Bcf of natural gas per day. The project could be expanded to process 2.5 Bcf per day. Energía Costa Azul, along with the pipeline that connects it to existing pipelines in north Baja California, represents an investment of $1.2 billion in the state. Energía Costa Azul’s commercial operations began in May 2008.
Cameron LNG is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminal situated on a 260-acre industrial-zoned site along the Calcasieu Channel in Hackberry, Louisiana, and is located 18 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and 35 miles from a major pipeline hub that serves nearly two-thirds of all U.S. natural gas markets. The $900 million LNG terminal is capable of processing up to 1.5 Bcf of natural gas per day. The facility can be expanded to process up to 2.65 Bcf per day. Cameron LNG’s commercial operation began in July 2009.
