About LNG
LNG Terminals

Nationwide, the development of more than 40 liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminals are being pursued, with more on the drawing board in Canada and Mexico.

Sempra LNG’s Energía Costa Azul terminal is situated on a 4,700-acre site in a remote location 15 miles north of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. Energía Costa Azul is the first LNG receipt terminal on the west coast of North America.

A second terminal, Cameron LNG is located 18 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and 35 miles from Henry Hub, a pipeline hub that serves nearly two-thirds of all U.S. natural gas markets.

Sempra LNG is strategically positioned with one site on the West Coast and one on the Gulf Coast of North America. Together, Cameron LNG and Energía Costa Azul translate into 2.5 billion cubic feet per day of new gas supply capable of serving the North American market.
