At Cameron LNG, we believe it's important to serve as a good corporate citizen and take a leadership role in helping to solve some of the issues facing our diverse communities. That's why we support programs that allow us to build partnerships that help meet community needs.

Working alongside community and business leaders, we invest our time, talents and resources to help improve the quality of life for our neighbors, employees and customers. Some of these results are profiled in the Community Partnership Highlights section below.

Community partnership program

Giving back is not only good business, it's the right thing to do.  As part of the commitment to communities where we have employees and established business, we focus on five key areas where we can really make a difference:

Environment

Partnerships promoting environmental stewardship, recycling and conservation efforts, and natural resource management.

• The company has worked in partnership with local groups to fund programs that help wetlands thrive, create more waterfowl foraging habitats, improve fisheries, provide for better birding -- all of which contribute to a healthier ecosystem overall.

• Sempra Energy & Cameron LNG support local schools and community groups in community clean up events and efforts to educate residents on environmental stewardship.

Health & Safety

Partnerships promoting health, safety and prevention, and efforts to help people facing adversity.

• The Health and Safety of our employees as well as the residents of southwest Louisiana is a top priority for Cameron LNG so we sponsor a variety of programs from flu shot clinics to anti-drug programs for students.

Education & Leadership Development

Partnerships promoting programs in the areas of math, science and agriculture as well as student achievement and leadership development.

• Sempra Energy & Cameron LNG partner with local schools in Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes to support programs in math, science and agriculture.

• By working directly with teachers and school administrators, the company can fund specific programs and projects for individual schools. This helps to create a customized learning experience and inspires our future leaders in these areas.

Community & Business Development

Partnerships promoting economic vitality in the local community and region.

• Working with community partners such as Hackberry School, Hackberry Community Center, and Hackberry Recreation Center, the company has taken a leadership role in developing two popular local events - Hackberry Summer Splash and Hackberry Holidays.

• These events help to bring business to the local community as well as celebrate the richness of the local culture.

Employee Giving & Volunteerism

Support of employee involvement in their local communities through a matching gift program with schools, and arts and culture groups; and through a volunteer incentive program with nonprofit organizations.

• Cameron LNG team members have a deep commitment to serving the community. Whether they are helping to rebuild the Hackberry Rodeo Arena concession stand or volunteering their time at one of the area's many charities, our employees are dedicated to making Cameron Parish a great place to live and work.
