Senior management team in place

Cameron team

Although the LNG terminal is not scheduled to be completed until late 2008, Cameron LNG has already hired the senior management team. "It's key to the success of this facility to have the terminal manager and the senior operations team in place while the terminal is under construction," says David Cobb, vice president of operations for Sempra LNG. "We want the team to know every detail of this facility and that's a lot easier to do when you see and experience it from the ground up."

The Cameron LNG management team is already hard at work, participating in meetings with the construction team, reviewing engineering drawings, conducting safety and operations reviews, and gearing up for the next hiring phase. They will also go through extensive training and verification of all operation components in the months leading up to the terminal's startup.

Some of these faces may be familiar, as Cameron LNG terminal manager Randy Oakley and maintenance & engineering manager Richard Boenig are from southwest Louisiana.

"We are thrilled to have such an exemplary team already in place at Cameron LNG," continues Cobb. "Randy and his team are dedicated professionals and will manage this facility to meet or surpass the nations's highest safety and operations standards."
