Community Advisory Committee tours Cameron LNG
In an effort to continue to grow the company’s community involvement
in Cameron Parish, Cameron LNG held its first Community Advisory Committee
team meeting, which provided its new seven member panel with an up close and
personal view of the $750 million construction project.

Held at the end of October, members met for the first time as a group
with the management of the Cameron LNG terminal for a safety briefing
and tour of the project site. A presentation describing the project
in detail and discussion of the committee’s role followed.
“As one of Hackberry’s newest neighbors, it is important
that we build and maintain a solid connection with our community, said
Randy Oakley, terminal manager for Cameron LNG. “We want
to continue meeting local leaders and working with them on important
community projects. The community advisory committee is one more
channel that will allow us greater access to a variety of perspectives,
helping us to identify areas that are of importance to the community.”
The members of the Cameron LNG Community Advisory Committee are Sheron
Faulk, Julie Trahan, Johnny Poole, Curtis Andrus, JoAnn LaBove, David
Hebert and Charlotte Trosclair. All members either work or live
in Cameron Parish.
“It truly is an incredible project with so many fascinating
elements,” said Charlotte Trosclair, Cameron Parish Library director. “The
committee is excited about working closely with the team at Cameron
LNG to make sure this is a successful project for both the company
and the community. It’s a win-win for all of us.”
